Clermont wing Napolioni Nalaga will miss Fiji’s November Tests against France, Wales and the USA due to family reasons, Fiji coach John McKee told AFP on Sunday.

The prolific 28-year-old has scored nine tries in 16 internationals for Fiji, but won’t be adding to that this winter.

“He expressed that he didn’t want to be considered for this tour,” said McKee.

Right winger Metuisela Talebula scored a try to help Bordeaux produce their performance of the season to hammer Clermont 51-21 at Chaban Delmas.

His opposite, left winger Napolioni Nalaga also scored his first try of the season for Clermont but it wasn’t enough as Bordeaux scored a total of six tries to record a good win.

Samoa fly-half Tusi Pisi landed six penalties to give his side a slender 18-13 victory over Pacific Island rivals Fiji in Suva.

Pisi kicked five first-half penalties to give Samoa a 15-5 lead at halftime and added his sixth penalty, Samoa’s only points of the second half, to finish with six goals for seven attempts.

Nadolo rated best centre

Flying Fijian Nemani Nadolo was rated the best inside centre from all the Test matches that were played last weekend.

According to Planet Rugby, Nadolo after taking the Super Rugby by storm was “of similar style and stature to Jonah Lomu.” Nadolo opened the account for Fiji scoring in the first half.

Planet Rugby analysts were also surprised with Nadolo’s boot after he took over the kicking duties, kicking two penalties and two conversions.
