Vereniki Goneva and Nemani Nadolo will line up in midfield for Fiji when they take on Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.

Head coach John McKee has made four changes in all to his backline, with Goneva and Nadolo joined in the starting lineup by Waisea Nayacalevu and Josh Matavesi.

Fiji have welcomed back Leicester flyer Vereniki Goneva after a visa issue forced him to miss the Test against France in Marseille.

Goneva is now available for selection against Wales with Ospreys centre Josh Matavesi also returning to the squad to take on some of his regional team-mates.

“Josh Matavesi has rejoined the squad following injury and Vereniki Goneva has also joined the squad,” McKee told The Sport Review.

Wales have made eight personnel changes to their side to face Fiji on Saturday, with Gethin Jenkins returning to the starting line-up to lead the side.

Jenkins will captain the side for a fourth time and is included in a new-look front row. Ospreys hooker Scott Baldwin makes his first start for his country and they will pack down alongside Samson Lee.

Teddy Thomas became only the second Frenchman ever to score a hat-trick on debut as France cruised past Fiji, 40-15 in Marseille.

The Racing winger had his first try inside 60 seconds, and added two more after the break, in a morale-boosting win for Philippe Saint-André’s charges.

Clermont wing Napolioni Nalaga will miss Fiji’s November Tests against France, Wales and the USA due to family reasons, Fiji coach John McKee told AFP on Sunday.

The prolific 28-year-old has scored nine tries in 16 internationals for Fiji, but won’t be adding to that this winter.

“He expressed that he didn’t want to be considered for this tour,” said McKee.

Newly named Les Bleus and South African born Scott Spedding could be donning the number 15 jumper against Fiji at the Velodrome in Marseilles on Saturday.

The 28-year-old Bayonne fullback replaces the injured Brice Dulin and already has an upper hand with main rival for the position Maxine Medard.

Medard is struggling to be fit with a groin injury sustained from his club game with Tolouse in the Top 14 last weekend.

The Barbarians outclassed Fiji 43-19 in an entertaining match played in front of a near 70,000 crowd to mark the Islanders’ centenary.

It was a match played in great spirit, with both teams exhibiting the running rugby craved by the Twickenham supporters, and some of the game’s greats showcasing their silky handling and offensive prowess.
