The International Rugby Board has today announced the kick-off times for matches at the IRB Junior World Championship 2013.
With 50 days to go until the world’s top Under 20 tournament gets underway in north-west France, anticipation is already at fever pitch as Nantes, Vannes and La Roche-sur-Yon get ready to welcome the future stars of world Rugby.
Tickets for many of the matches are already selling very well, and seats at the three venues are sure to become even more desirable over the coming weeks as fans prepare for the tournament which takes place from June 5-23.
The mouth-watering match-ups start from the very first day, as hosts France take on England in La Roche-sur-Yon at 18.45 local time, with defending champions South Africa taking on USA two hours later in the same venue.
Match Day 2 (June 9) will see yet another appetising clash take place as southern hemisphere rivals New Zealand face Australia in Vannes at 20.45. Four days later, La Roche-sur-Yon will be the venue as hosts France take on defending champions South Africa at 20.45.
The final, which will be held in Vannes on June 23, will kick off at 18.45.
Building on the back of 2012’s record tournament in South Africa, Tournament Director Philippe Bourdarias believes that the IRB Junior World Championship 2013 is set to be another exciting event.
“This year’s tournament is in an area of France that isn’t known as a Rugby heartland, but even at this stage we can see that fans in the region are really excited about having the future stars of world Rugby come to their towns,” said Bourdarias.
“Tickets are selling well, preparations are on track and now that the kick-off times for the tournament have been announced fans can prepare for some excellent contests featuring the best Under 20 teams in the world.”
The host broadcaster for the IRB Junior World Championship will be announced shortly.
